Im having a hard time finding any 106aa springs does anyone know if these are the same thing?

hi is there any body out there who's got a automatic kia sportage? i my self got one and i dont have any problems with it on or off-road.please let me know if you do.

The auto in a sportage is as bullet proof as they get!!!

The Baja 1000 winning kia sportage ran an essentially stock auto, and it had 180hp to the wheels! I've met the current owner of the thing...

I current have 180K miles on mine, and I flog it off-road regularly, I tow my 16' boat/ dirt bike trailer often, and all I've done to it is a pan drop and fluid change...

hi i am planning on taking my sporty for a suspension lift at the end of the month if everything goes well with the finances.the point is that i did some shopping around here in south africa and came across a guy who does stretching of the coil springs then afterwards does the hardness treatment again to keep th strength of the coil and the ride quality in our currency it is R800 for front and back and they do all the stripping and putting back together.i think in your currency it would be something like $100 i don't think it is to bad for a 2" lift.

finally an update on the adjusable Coil over struts from OFF ROAD BOSS. The news at the moment is not that good. Here is what I recieved off Rob from OFF ROAD BOSS.

Hi Chris, well we may have hit a bit of a problem. Sai has machined up the part, but the problem is our shock seats the spring a fair way up the body, which means once its mounted to your forks, there is heaps of lift from the word go. We can't get the spring seat any lower than 95mm above the original position. Looking at the pictures of where it mounts to the lower control arm, there will be a bit of a ratio factor, so we may end up with more lift than this. I assume this is too high, and may cause problems. Let me know what you think. Unfortunately I don't know if we have many options with this one, but we'll see how we go.

I spoke to Rob this afternoon and they are looking at another way to attach their Coil over shock to the lower arm. Hopefully they will be able to reduce the overall height to a usable one. With the part they have machined up it will lift the assembly over 4 inches pushing the assembly past the useable cycle and height they we have to use.

I will update you again when I here more. hopefully it will be more positive.

hi everybody i have just finished a 2" body lift on my sporty but i had a bid of a down side while lifting the body to slide the spacers in the heater pipes broke of because stupid me didnt disconnect them but ooowell at least the sporty got lifted next on the menu will be a proper steel front bumber oooo that reminds me does anybody have any drawings for the front steel bumber.i am looking into a 2" suspemsion lift to.

Is there anyway to get more then 4" of suspension lift in the front? I have 4" spacer lift and 1" body lift on 31x10.5s. I'm wanting to run 33s so im switching out the 1" body lift for a 3". A question about the 3" body, will i need to fab up a steering shaft extension? But what causes the front to only able handle a 4" lift, i still have plenty of room for the cv boot round the a arms and knuckle. Are the shafts extended as much as the can be? Or if cv shafts are at there max angle would lowering or raising the front axle help with more lift? I'm not really wanting to SAS it, i'm buying a 88 cherokee to make a rock climber that won't be street driven, kia is just the bad weather / mild offroading vehicle. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />
