Depends how you plan to use ya Sporty, and what sized tyres you plan to run.
You can install TJ springs in the back with std shocks, you just won't have as much articulation or droop. I am still running the standard bump stops too.
Elec fan is probably a good idea so long as it's big enough and ideally shrouded. I'm still running a standard (though renewed) clutch fan with no problems.

i was only considering electric because of the improved power and less drag on the motor, if i went that way it would be a 16" with the factory shroud, i may just stick with the viscous setup,

it will mostly be used for camping and beach, but i enjoy the occasional play in an offroad area too, tyres i wasnt going to go too big, 235/75r15 or maybe 30 x 9.5 would be the max

im in the far north, ellenbrook, but head down that way fairly often

After receiving a very detailed email from Everet (thank you) i have decided i will be ordering a 3" spacer kit, and then getting some tj springs and rav4 shocks.

I've got some TJ springs here, used of course, $50

What shocks would you recommend with them, Everet suggested gabriel proguard, however we only get the guardian or ultra over here, i havn't been able to find the proguard locally

Go with whatever has the highest damping rate, as RAV4 shocks are a little light for our application.
I'm guessing your 99 Sporty is the short body version?

yer its the short body, all stock at the moment other than wheels, and basic stuff like spotties, nudge bar and roof racks

I went with OME RAV 4Shocks as they are the longest I could find. Rear travel is AWSOME. Don't forget to source the correct bushing for the bottom eye of your shock. I went to Peddars for mine.

I wouldn't want a shock any longer as with my springs (Dobinsons 35 mm TJ JEEP HARDTOP) on full droop I can get the springs to move slightly on the top perch. The lift is around 90mm or almost 4 inch.

The shock is under valved however the OME shock I believe is the perfect length for those of us with 4 inch lifts. Try a custom shock maker utilising the OME RAV 4 shock specs for long and see if they can provide a firmer valved shock. If you are successful let us all know.
