I'm rebuilding a set of mitsu aisin manual hubs and want to find out if anyone had any luck sourcing replacement springs for them.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA.

If you're talking about the dial springs, here you go.

http://www.wabfab.org/aisinmanualhubs/aisin.htm

If you're talking about the tension spring on the clutch hub, you may want to find any other junkyard Aisin hub off a Toyota, Isuzu, Mazda, etc., take it apart in the yard and just buy the spring. They all used the same spring.

I don't know the part number, but Toyota parts should carry it.

Holy CRAP!!! I didn't see that! They are on triple-doses of crack to be asking that price!

Best bet for a set of Aisins...go get 'em from a junkyard (~$25) and rebuild 'em. Replacement parts (screws, springs, seals) can be gotten at your local Toyota parts for cheap.

Thanks guys! I'll be clearer with my question next time.

<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I see that the dial spring and ball can be bought new and I am hoping the toyota dealership can source the clutch spring without a part number. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

If not, I'm off to the wreckers.... seems as if suzuki aisin's might be my best bet as they are more plentiful that most other trucks up here...

We'll see.

I nabbed a single Zuk hub off Fleabay a while back for cheap, as I needed parts and took the gamble. Pretty sure I used the clutch spring, and I know I used the ball and its spring.
