I'm at my wits end! I swaped motors in my sons '93 grandcherokee now it won't start! no spark it seems like it turns on then the auto shutdown turns it off! Any sugestions?Any one had a similar problem? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

My dad had some trouble with the ASD on his 97.

YEAY!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> figured it out{actually a friend of mine is a jeep tech at a dealership!!!}The wire for the crank senser at the back of the engine was pinched between the engine&bellhousing causing it to short to ground&not send any signal so the ecm shut every thing down!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />Turns out it's a comon problem with this engine on swaps and even the tech's at dealers doit on ocasion???the fix is cut the wire&replace the sensor{not easy as it sounds but easier than pulling the engine back out!} <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />SE YA IN DA WOODS!!!
