well........you wouldnt believe it........ have a mate that works at a gear company here in australia......... have been having a good chat to him and in the new year.... he is going to make a auto-locker for the front diff in my truck........ it will be based on the LOCK_RIGHT style of self locking ones and will be able to be fitted into the orginal housing....... the cost will be 1/10th of the other stuff we can supposedly can but cant get........SO.... my question goes out to you guys that are stuggling for traction...... we will see how mine goes ......... who then after that who would like one..... remember it is only for the front at the moment.......the rear will come later......

the right question to ask is not who wants one but who can afford to get one shipped from aus. i would love a lock-right style locker in my front end but i dont think i could ever afford the price to get one shipped

shipping from australia should not be too bad for a package that small. the weight of it should not be that extreme either i would imagine.
glad to see that this may be a possibility for everyone. a little late for me as the stock axles are soon going!

Agree with the cost. They are less than 3lb in weight. I have the rear autolocker sitting on my bench but have not had time to fit it.
One other possibility is using a Suzuki 26 spline autolocker, although I am not sure about the sidegear shaft diameter vs. what ours is and how that would affect its operation. May need to make special thrust bearing shims for each end, but in all it is something worth looking into if you have a front diff out at any stage.

Like all others, I'm very interested. But it all depends on cost and shipping charges to get it state side.
If we can get a list of people who will pony up the money we can put in a bulk order. Then all share in the shipping costs to get it state side. We would need to get a representative to collect the money, place the order, and then ship to the respective parties once it hits state side.

I am interested if the price is right. Shipping should not be bad, I shipped a few spacers lifts to Australia and it was very reasonable. Money will be tight since I have to rebuild my engine. Let us know.

Logansportage <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> .... not a bad idea mate......... so you know .....its me that will be doin the ordering thru a good mate who works at a gear company....... who is prepared to do testing of metals etc..... so they are bullet proof....... i dont think a bulk buy would make them any cheaper..... but it would save a bit on postage......... just a thought...... will do mine as the ginipig first and will start to sort somthing out after that........ about mid january i think...... Ok. You've peeked my interest. Your time table puts this close to right after income tax. And for the projected price, i don't think i can aford not to put some money back for that project. Thanks.

Currently up in Townsville. I'll look into having the metals tested up here If you like...(given the "hens teeth" nature of the item, this would be my preference) Other than that I may send the unit complete to you, and may relieve you of one of the first prototypes. Another option may be to pick up an old lockright from the papers or www.outerlimits.com a little closer to home and test them...pretty sure the only thing that would really change would be size and spline counts, metals would be the same. I would still look at the possibility of basing the unit on the Zook 26 spline with minor machining differences to the two center parts (with the "v" notches) No point reinventing the wheel if all it takes is 10 mins in a mill. PM sent
