Did you notice any power loss after installing the snorkel? Just wondering because 2" seems small, with that length I would have expected restriction

Also what's the hood scoop for? Is that to cool down the engine compartment? It seems contradictory to have a hood scoop and a snorkel, if the water is high enough to need the snorkel then the hood scoop can let water in and make it so there's no "air bubble" in the engine compartment, making the engine get more submerged.
Sportage with no snorkel or hood scoop can go into water up to the top of the hood, but with the scoop the water would spill right in. Better make sure you caulked the spark plug cover so water doesn't go in there.

[quote]Jaboo, I just love technical pics of peoples fabricated modifications. Wanted a closer look at your design. Like how you mounted the snorkle to the drivers side pillar, what diameter piping that you choose and where the hole for pipe inlet into the fender was cut. Pics, Pics, Pics... Please Here is a couple of pics from when my snorkel was fitted. ![[Linked Image]](http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc190/4runnernomore/PICT0284.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc190/4runnernomore/PICT0282.jpg) And the finished product ![[Linked Image]](http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc190/4runnernomore/Pic032.jpg) Cheers, Chris

That would have been awesome, if i had the money for the kit. I have between twenty, and thirty dollars in my snorkle. And it's still water tight. There's alot of things i would have liked to have put on that with some extra money would've made it look better, but i'm just showin the budget look. Your's looks really good though.
