It should be located just below the exhaust manifolds...

Thanks. Driver or passenger side? I swear I looked everywhere but didn't see it. Finally just pulled the lower hose. One manual I have says it's by the timing belt so I pulled that cover off too and nothing.

Its a 14mm brass plug right near the motor mount. I think its on the passenger's side.

Its a 14mm brass plug right near the motor mount. I think its on the passenger's side. Yep on the right side and actually quite easy to reach if you go in through the right wheel well, behind the splash flap, and use a socket on a long extension... at least on a 4Runner. I do it with the front of the vehicle higher than the rear and the engine drains dry.. The 3.4 is also the easiest to fill of any vehicle I've had to not have a hassle with trapped air and burping coolant out..

When I did flush last summer I didnt bother with the plug itself. I drained the lower hose and petcock on the rad. Then refilled with water 3x and ran/drained. Works for me and I been doing it a long time.

Thanks for all the replies. Finally found it by feel and an inspection mirror. Maybe it's because I don't have any lift but I can't see it through the side flap.
Kewlynx: Thanks for the URL. That is the same pict. as in my FSM. It shows that plug up front, if I read it correctly. It must be for the 3.0 and they never updated the pict. in the 3.4 FSM. Confusing.
