That is nothing that the sporty goes through...Just have to have the balls....Wish i had agresive tires i only have m/s cooper tires.

I wouldn't be worried about getting stuck, I would worry about motor damage (internal) by sucking water into the engine.
Easy way to bend a rod or collapse a piston.
Still looking for a snorkel that looks good. I know that I could make an abs prototype and then find a CNC tube bender company to copy it.
Just wish there was one that fits something else we could modify.
I'm going to check out some for a jeep.
I know that some of the downunder guys have them, but haven't seen anything local.
I know that there has been a few threads about this.

I would worrie about back presser up the muffer pipe also

Well i got to differ i've been though alot worst then this, I went through a beaver dam that was about 100 yards long and water was up to the top of the hood for a long ways, The only porblem i had was still running clutch fan and lost power right at the end. But made it out. There was so much water that i had to put the wipers on to see.
I'm actually going out tomorow hope to get more pics but its hard when im the only one that brings a camera.

I'm sure you have been in worse, but from the pic, if you keep things under water like that for long, I would think that you would eventually suck water into the motor.
Water doesn't compress, so if you suck enough in, damage will be done.
But, it's your Sporty.

You can help counter this buy using a tarp straped across the front of the car with some Occy straps to help make a air pocket if travelling through deep water for a short period. If you are going to consistently travel through deep water a snorkel and extended braethers for diffs and gearboxes would be advisable as well.

I am the lucky one from Down Under with a snorkel for the Sporty from VTTR. It does help give piece of mind for that type of situation.

so I guess if you have a snorkel on the intake, diff. breather and gearbox and muffler, I guess your sporty's might learn to swim LOL <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />, kind of reminds me of the joke with 1 bullet in a cylinder, spin it and hope it goes click, the guy says oh I have done this a 100 times before. it's a great gun it has never failed me yet and it's a 50cal Smith and Wesson, it's only dangerest with all the cylinders full. good old dirty harry, at 25 years old 44mag, at 45years old 45 automag at 65 years old 50cal SW. it only takes once and it's a done deal, you can do what you want with your sporty's but remember it ain't no boat. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> John
