You will need to toggle the hood latch manually. 12" long double jointed finger is a plus. I've never had to do it on an Isuzu product but have done it on other vehicles.
Where did it break? Inside latch or hood latch?

The cable broke at the latch and I can't figure out how to get to the hood latch manually. Not much space by the grill or in the crack between hood and car body.

Last one I did was an S10 Blazer. I had to go in from the bottom and reach up. It would have been very helpful to have had another like vehicle with the hood open so I could see what I was trying to do.
Maybe someone can open the hood of an Old Troop and show how the latch actuates.
Good luck.

I had to pull the wire using pliers and then was able to stretch the cable and wire tie it down to enable the cable to work until I can get another and route it through the little circuit it runs through in and out of the body and that will be a tedious process to say the least.
