I should take delivery of my new Spicey Red 2009 Sorento LX 4x4 tomorrow. 2009 is the last year for the body-on-frame, rear drive, true 4x4, so I thought I better get one while I can and the $5000 factory rebate did not hurt. I hope it is as good to me as the three Sportages I have owned.

Let us know how you like it. I'm considering one in the next year or two and I'll more than likely buy a used one.
2001 Sportage, TJ 106's, Everet spacers and bumpstops, Bilstein shocks on the rear, cone filter, Crager wheels, 235-75-15 Goodyear tires. Custom front winch bumper by Dave Scott. Currently DOA, but it is a work in progress. 2011 Kia Forte EX

I can see the turbo-diesel version on its way for me in the next year or two. Probably as a tow rig for the Sporty to and from comps. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

I hate you! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />. I would love a new Soretno (pre crossover). Did you get the bigger engine? I had a 2000 ZR2 Blazer and even a Sorento with the smaller engine would run circles around it.
Ok, I realy don't hate you, good luck with your new Sorento, Dennis

I got the LX 4x4 with the 3.3L 242HP. The Sorento has more than enough power. Since we officially had a 14.1" snow storm Christmas eve with 50mph winds, I have had a chance to try the Sorento in 4x4 and it works very well, the Sorento is roomy, quiet, powerful, drives well, and at $20k out-the-door it is a great value.
