Some people are not to be trusted with machinery with moving parts. You found a prime example, Kevin...

After some very careful Craig's List shopping I scored an exact replacement in perfect condition. It turns out it was being sold by a guy I know that owns a local wine shop.
Very low hours and this one has the catcher bag I was missing. Also this one has a build date that is a month later so its newer. It was built in July of 91.
One difference is this one has an updated blade design that makes it harder to bend the leaf chopper blades if you somehow manage to force a big stick in them.
The replacement unit cost me $150, I should be able to sell the broken one for $40, so my neighbor is only out $110.
So for all the hassle I get a better, lower hour chipper and the missing catcher bag.
What I don't get back is the time I spent looking for a replacement. I did advertise on Craig's list that I needed a broken unit for parts. I may have a line on one for free. So I may come out a tiny bit ahead if I build a spare. Perhaps my neighbor wants to buy it?

I would love to.... LMAO! It took me a while to open the link since I have not had flash working on Win 7's browser.
Too funny, Thanks for the link. Of course I was a dumb for loaning it to him.

Red is great.... He reminds me of how my dad was back in the late 60s/70s. Pops was AF Strategic Air Command flight instructor and all three of us boys were total dumb asses.
