Some old '70s era motorhomes were death traps.. as illustrated by the wood bodied Midas with no steel body framing except the cab.

And you get a leak in it and what wood framing you have rots..

A Class A (full size motorhome) Winnebago of that era rolled on the interstate not far from here killing both occupants.. There was nothing but the steel motorhome chassis intact.. the body was a pile of rubble..
