Intsalled some Dsm Talon seats - 06/08/14 07:42 PM

So my buddy is big into dsm talon stuff, I was over there the other day and he was tossing out some nice gray seats froma 92 Talon. They now reside in the montero. I was able to keep the stock backets and use flat steel to mount them,
I will say they are very comfortable and keep you in the seat under a hard turn.
There in pretty good shape for there age. [Linked Image]

can you post some details about the flat bar and mounting? they do look more comfortable than my 24 year old seats. is that a lumbar adjustment on the side?

i might have to keep an eye out at the jy.

Yep Lumbar and leg support adjustment on DS only,
I did move the seats back a few inches and drilled the holes in the flat bar. need leg room because im over 6' tall. I might add some support in the rear because it hangs over about 2.5 inches. They are very solid now though.
The seat is adjusted back pretty far in this picture more then enough room for the passanger/Driver no matter how short/Tall you might be

Thanks!
I desided im going to fab up a aluminum center console
that may be high enough for an arm rest. I will be installing my jeep trans soon so I will know where to cut the hole in the hump before hand.

I live where Mitsu's come to die for some reason.. ... And Junkyard-X is really full with Mitsu's right now ... They go to the crusher whole.. ..

If I dont plunder them ...LOL..

The biggest rat-hole of Mitsu vehicles I've ever seen .. I'm always thinking they will dry up..But they just keep coming year after year.. Strange ..

Cheap too..Stop by..

Hope the family's good..

I imagine you'll have to fab that support. I've seen some bouncies with another support (factory) welded on the rear.

Is it uncomfortable to get over the thigh supports on the way in and out?

Yeah I figure some small fab work will be needed but well worth the extra support.
As for getting in and out I have no issues with being uncomfortable at all.
