Timin Belt Broke Interference or Non-Interference '92 3.0L

Timin Belt Broke Interference or Non-Interference '92 3.0L - 10/19/14 04:26 PM

Before I order parts, my understanding is that the '92 3.0l is a non-interference engine. It shredded a timing belt on Friday.

Need a confirmation please.

Thanks, Toasty (Adam) also confirmed its a non. Belt kit on order.

PM frequency question. I have some of the service records from the original owner of this truck. Timing belt was replaced at 66,892 miles on 03/27/2003 (60K PM say notes) and then again at 77,967 on 05/25/2005 - although maybe was just a remove and replace - not real clear because there were no parts mentioned as being charged for beyond a harmonic balancer MD141468. Notes say verify timing marks due to lack of power, R&R timing belt. So maybe was only checked for correct cam timing.

Current mileage is 111,150

The OEM ones are better then most of the replacement ones. The last Gates brand I installed looks like I need to replace it and its only 3 years old and has 40K on it
