I need help on an engine part. - 08/07/15 04:04 AM

My water pump inlet pipe (the part where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine) has cracked and i could not source a replacement . I have a 1989 V6 2 door Monty. I was wondering if anyone is parting out engine parts. I have tried locally here in Portland Oregon and with wrecking yards and dealerships. No one has my part, its been down for 2 months awaiting a replacement. Thanks for any help.Happy trails to all.

Are you talking about this Lower Radiator Intake Pipe on the front of the engine?

Yes the pipe that is under the outlet pipe that houses the thermostat

Its the pipe underneath the pipe that houses the thermostat . Right above the water pump. Thanks

I know which one you are talking about, hmmm can you weld it? or have one made in aluminum or stainless.

not sure if it would work, but I used this stuff called Marine Tex on a cracked block before (water jacket side). it worked and JB weld did not.
