For sale in Az - 09/05/12 07:54 PM
I thought i'd make a sticky to test out my moderator powers, this post will be for local pickup items only for sale or trade amongst "US". Do not post here if you are willing to ship or IF YOU DON"T KNOW ANYONE ON THIS FORUM PERSONALLY, keep that in the garage sale section
Garage sale.
Just thought this would clean up the forum a bit and it has been requested a few times.

Re: For sale in Az - 09/05/12 10:01 PM
I have the following items for sale/free/stuff (will not ship):
One swing-away spare tire carrier with hinges and the matching latch plate from a ZR2 Blazer. I should post my own pic but for now just know that it looks exactly like this one
http://media.photobucket.com/image/recent/Tom_Wrede/bracket.jpg"But that's got the wrong lug pattern!" you say? Well yes, it's set up for 5-on-4.75" lugs but it comes with a neat piece of aluminum already drilled to that pattern that you can put your own wheel pattern on to adapt it! Woo!
Anyway I'd like to get $21.17 for it and you have to tell me a dirty joke.
I also have several carbon fiber factory skidplates from a s10, they look weak but they're pretty tough. Use them to make armor to wear in battle, or play them like drums. Take them all for the price of one dirty joke that can be told in front of kids without them knowing it's dirty.
A pair of (new) Hammond long delay mechanical spring reverbs, $20 for the pair and you have to promise to not play "Mmm Bop" through them (for the good of all mankind). RCA in/out, no decay knob.
A steering box in good condition with arm for a 1996-2004 S10 , free - please take it away.
A pair of front coil springs for a 1999-2004 WJ (stock) free - please take them away.
Pair of MTX AAL12 home speakers, new-old-stock in like new condition with boxes, $80

I'll bite. I have a greasy, grimy 2.6 starter that didn't end up needing replaced just sitting in a box in Glendale. Free to anyone who needs it. Least I can do.

A pair of nearly new Gabriel Hi-Jacker air shocks for the rear of a Dodge truck, I can provide low/high measurements if you need - eyelets on both ends. Less than 300 miles on them, stored indoors. Buy me a beer or something for 'em.

They're awesome in a large room, but I was using them as computer speakers for a few weeks and they were just too much at arm's length. I'm outta' town for a little while on business but you're welcome to audition 'em and decide for yourself if they rock to your standards of excellence!

I'm giving a kudos to Adam for starting this post. Yesterday Clay and Lindsey met me at my friend Larry's warehouse/ shop to pick up HER new (91) Montero.
It was a pleasure to see Clay again, and to meet Lindsey.
Enjoy the truck, and Lindsey, keep a close eye on anyone who is checking out your new ride.
Post some pictures when you get a chance.

I still have the stuff referenced above.
Also have one pair of Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires in 225/75r16 with about 80% tread left on 'em, they'll cost you one drawing of an extinct animal. I don't have the means to mount them, and they're not on rims or anything.

I probably have something but last time I had a 2dr I don't think there was quite room for a 4" there... I have some devices that might do the trick in any case. I also might be able to bluetooth your stock head unit if it has the tape in it, so you can play music from a phone or ipod or laptop with bluetooth..

Re: Ammo. - 03/13/13 09:29 PM
The '88 onward Gen 1's have bigger dash speakers than those old unreplaceable ovals found in the older ones. Yeah i was actually thinking about doing the auxiliary outlet like you have on yours if possible, not sure my ipod does bluetooth so i'll have to double check.

I've got the full set of brown leather seats from my 95 SR - power driver's seat, passenger seat, rear bench and jump seats. The leather is not in great shape on any of them, typical splits, tears, and wear. The rear bench doesn't release to slide forward (I'm certain the cables are rusted). I may even have an extra pair of leather jumpseats but I'll have to dig around a little. Free to a good home, or a bad home for that matter - just come and take them out of my garage.

No Spare gen 3 parts I don't believe in this group. Gonna also be very hard to find in a junk yard as well. I've only ever found one gen 3 in a yard in Phoenix, I think it was at Atlas or J.V.C. Can't remember which.

Re: Gen 1 stuff - 10/23/13 11:18 PM
Does anyone locally have a passenger side mirror that will fit my SR? I think someone smacked it in a parking lot, it's broken at the pivot point of the base and now swings freely depending on the wind, vehicle speed, window position, etc.
The SR has heated mirrors, but I think I could swap the guts over if anyone has a nice housing that's non-SR.
Let's go junkyarding...is another way of saying "No, I don't."

Hello AZ Crew, Love my Raider, cept when she starts smoking out the dash! DOH! Had a wire in the loom short out, and while I got her home... I have a harness thats a mess, copper melted together, several wires with the jacketing completely destroyed from about the firewall on the pass side down to the center console. I was wondering if anyone could help me locate a 87 2.6 engine wiring harness/loom? I have been searching boneyards and nobody seems to have any gen1's around Ohio. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Tires wheels CL ad - 12/20/13 05:27 PM
I believe those are the same type of earlier Goodyear MTR's that Monte3 had on the '95 before he got rid of them in favor of the Toyo M/T's. He said he didn't like these at all in the rain. Just sayin'.

Another set of stock rims and 31" BFG AT TKOs - 12/27/13 07:21 PM
Add another set of stockers in the AZ pile. My Pops got his 35's on, so he's looking to get rid of what came on his truck. 5 stock rims with center caps and such, Four 31" BFG AT TKO tires with 3/8" tread depth left. One 31" unknown brand spare with about 40% tread left. He didn't say what he wanted for them, so I guess best offer if anyone wants them. Off of a '98 btw.
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/4278630035.htmlTake do a cold compression test on it make sure engine isn't complete junk, tow it home get it going. i'd look close at the paint too there is white over spray on the grill???
It just looks like glare on the front grill.
This would be a good one for BottomFeeder.

Ready for the locals....... - 01/23/14 08:17 PM
98 140k overheated when heater hose blew. I plugged it and filled it with water. It runs and drives very well, I have driven over 50 miles no problems. It has a salvage title and possible alignment/frame issues. With lots of back maintenance it could be a great Montero. If anybody wants it whole it is $2000.
Ok didn't think so, Toasty wants a door panel, Clarkdale friend wanted a bumper corner it is scratched but no dents or other damage.
There are a lot of things I will be keeping, so just ask. Prices will be very, very cheap if you pull it yourself. If I have to pull it and/or ship it, prices won't be so good.
It has a complete tool kit flashlight and all.
Things not for sale (subject to change at any time or for the right price).
C/V shafts
Gas tank
Single use skid plates
Head lights
Front corner markers
Rims

These guys would be looking for 3.5 powered rear 4.90's and any front 4.90's but the non disconnect front housings are more desirable since you can just swap those in whole instead of swapping gear setups.

Make me a serious offer.
7.627.62Banana not included.
[color:"red"]Ammo can IS included!!
That's 180rd of Austrian 30.06 (7.62x63) for an M-1 and a US ammo box with good rubber, good hinges - has character but it's in good shape all things considered.
.38sp.38sp.38sp188rd of four assorted .38sp as you see it.
FACE TO FACE EXCHANGE ONLY - also obviously nobody with legal restrictions. Located in Phoenix.
Ideally I'd love to sell all of it as a lot, or at least all the 7.62 together and all the .38 together.

Roof Rack.

i'll be in az for a few days next week if you want to check it out.

is that 7.62x39?
Doesn't look like it but if it is I want it all!
The above ammo is still available, it's 30-06 or 7.62×63mm
Also I have two Rough Country / Heckethorn shock absorbers free to a good or bad home, shocks are brand new but have been hanging out in the garage a good 10 years. 650383, 23.125 eye to eye, 24.5 overall, 9 inches travel, compressed about 15 overall. I think they are for the front of ~4" lifted F250s and probably a few other applications. Actually I think they originally came out of a lift kit for an XJ... Anyway they're free
Also I have four new U-joints, two are Duralast Gold # 2-4800DG (pretty sure that's a 1330 size) and two are ACDelco 45U0145 (ALSO 89029327) - all are free

Anyone need a good drivers wing window and window ....? The wing is the whole works its very tight...
I replaced the wing window on the driver's side in my '86 once upon a time. Talk about a PITA, since that truck has power windows. The apparatus under the door with the spring and the fold-over tab that locks the nut on the bottom still isn't right and the window is very loose, but at least it can be locked again.
I don't want to do it again!

It is a 1987 Cherokee. From what I can tell it has Dana 44's on it.

Thought I would just put it out there for the wheelers…

Not bad, FYI that front's the standard issue D30 and since that's not a Wagoneer it's the disconnect type.. the rear's a D44 though and that means the vehicle probably has the upcountry or rough service suspension.
Anyway cool rig for anyone trying to get into an XJ, looks like with a little work it'll be a good machine.

Hey does anyone know where I can get some Gen 1 LWB rear coils for my 89 Raider? I'm putting 33s on and I want to get a lift as well. I know I shouldn't need one but my rear end sags quiet a bit whenever I have stuff in it.
As a backup does the OME work or will that be a super stiff coil? 167/pr isn't too bad.

Hey does anyone know where I can get some Gen 1 LWB rear coils for my 89 Raider?
Screw that noise. Get a set of Gen 2 coils. Believe.
John B.
From the "Come And Get It Department:"
SWB coil springs
SWB trailing arms, may not be stock; they look 'almost' identical to the '96 ones we put in. They will need new bushings all around.
Still have that 5-speed manual from a 2WD Mighty Max
2.6 short block, virtually useless, however
2.6 cylinder head with hydraulic lifters, also virtually useless at this point, condition unknown.
V-6 auto's rear end, open diff, minus a brake line, trailing arms and springs, but brakes are intact.
I'm going to want to scrap all the above to make some room before too awful long, so if you want your own Sanford and Son collection, stop on by and grab some.
Two Scoops...out!

Let us know how you like them. Please include the part number and how much extra weight you regularly carry. Hope they aren't too stiff. So far, it seems there's nothing more impressive to me than Gen 2 springs in a SWB Gen 1.

[gauging interest] (2) Australian Magna EFI intake manifolds w/ fuel rails.
Here's a picture of one modified/installed in a USDM 4G54.
![[Linked Image]](http://www.gearboxmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/magna_intake_gen_1-1000x750.jpg)
Depending on your setup, some fabrication might be required (namely, relocating TB).
We're importing (3). One is for my Starion buddy, who tells me these things go for $500-$600 when they turn up on Ebay. The plan was 1 for my buddy's Starion, 1 for my Rocinante, and 1 to sell to reimburse my mate down under for air freight halfway around the world on what are fairly large and relatively heavy items.
Now that I'm looking to sell Rocinante to get a Gen 2.5, I'm going to put mine on offer to help fund the new Monty purchase before summer.
Again, these sell for $500-$600 *when* they come available. Before I dump these on the Starion board, I'm posting here to gauge interest at $450.
Of course I'll provide pictures of the actual items once they arrive in Phoenix, likely next month.
Anyone?
PS: I'm also going to have my gen 1 (2.6, MT) Aussie crawler gears (
Mark's 4WD Adapters , 48% reduction) available one of these days. New, they're $1000-ish plus shipping plus installation. I'm going to sell as a complete, ready-to-bolt-up tcase. Think $800 would be a fair price?
Thanks for looking.

Selling my work van. I'm a much better technician than a salesman, so I need to sell it to buy an econo-box for my 112 mile round trip daily commute. Plus I need to take the Montero out of daily driver status so I can do some much needed maintenance that's keeping me from enjoying any wheeling action. Thanks!

The van is loosing spark after about 14 minutes of running, it's weird. I swapped out the coil wire, coil, power transistor and ECU with known good units and I still have the problem.
It runs fantastic and about the 13 minute mark it starts to run rough and the spark gets weak then it sputters out and dies no spark.

I have a Lincoln AC-225 stick welder for sale! It's around 30 years old but wasn't used commercially so it's in fair shape. It has a newer stick holder doohickey! It does 225A from a 230V 50A circuit* with a 20% duty cycle at full output!
You can [color:"blue"]PENETRATE and RAGE OUT with something like this!!!
Comes with a box that's roughly half full of sticks. I think $150 is a fair price but I'm open to other propositions.

I already hit rock bottom and now i'm in recovery. I quit craigslist some months ago, i don't even click the links because what if it's too good of a deal to pass up?
I think if i can go a couple years without taking on more projects i will be able to make my 2 trucks awesome. At that point i think i'll get back into collecting these old neglected Mitsu's, next time i plan to keep them off site though. I think if i put them somewhere else i won't feel so obligated to fix them up all at the same time THEN sell them off to buy the next cluster of Mitsu's. That'll be the retirement project.

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic? About to hit 190k, I'd like to get my 2002 3.5l rebuilt, probably a good idea to go down to valve stems and do a full refresh, rebuild head and get timing belt/water pump done. Would like to make it bulletproof for the next 100k.
No one I know of, and you'd think I might have heard. Probably a dealer, if you can stomach the price.
